Join Rob Machado, Pat O'Connell and Pat's son Nathan O'Connell enjoy a Demo Day down at Salt Creek earlier this summer to test out Rob's new hybrid model, the Machadocado.

Would it be a good first shortboard?
yes because your first shortboard is going to need extra float/litres , and this has it, but, also has the turning ability. my first shortboard was the firewire sweet potato back in the day. depending on your fitness level you could consider this or a sweet potato helium.

It would be sweet to see machado or someone else surf the machadocado, the seaside, the sweet potato and the mashup all on the same day in the same waves to compare the performance in small mushy waves.
